rock your school

On September 27, Central Elementary participated in the global movement "Rock Your School" event that happened in different schools across the world that day. The event is an initiative started six years ago by the Get Your Teach On organization. It encourages teachers and schools to create an

educational experience that is unique by doing something different for their students. It celebrates education and the amazing things happening in schools, and more than 100,000 educators around the world participate in the event.

Central started the day off with teachers and many special guests greeting students as they entered the school and started their day. Then, they held a huge pep rally event in the morning. They had guests from the community participate and speak to students. Even the Angleton High School cheerleaders and drumline joined in on the fun to help add extra pep.

The school was also decorated with each grade level taking on a different theme that they incorporated in the lessons for the day. Students and guests got to walk through a dino land, under the sea enchantment, glow-in-the-dark neon spaces, and many more exciting and fun-filled spaces.
